1. The inspection and quarantine department shall carry out statutory inspection on the import and export of refrigerated containers, except for the necessary safety and hygiene inspection, and more importantly check the refrigerated efficiency of the refrigerated containers. In fact, the main content that can represent the refrigerating efficiency of refrigerated containers include: the first, whether the refrigeration and temperature control can be set according to people's wishes; the second, whether the various dial and recording system can correctly reflect and record the working conditions of the refrigerator; the third, whether the work of each refrigeration device is normal; fourthly, whether the container’s body is complete and the insulation function is good. In the period of inspection of refrigerated containers, many people are not clear about the above inspection content. Therefore, the research on all kinds of the rules of the refrigeration of refrigerated containers, skillfully mastering the fault judgment of reefer containers, correctly understanding of the characteristics and properties of refrigerated containers, making an use for these technologies to people extensively working on the refrigerated container transportation and inspection, servicing in practice, that is, we focus on the problem that research and solve.
2. The precautions of before for refrigeration:
(1)、When we received the reefer container Inspection Application Form (or Refrigeration Work Order), the first to see clearly the request of the refrigerated container’s refrigeration temperature on the application form, whether there is any other special requirements. For example: an adjustment for air quantity、freshness (that the latest method is to use special machine to make fresh nitrogen and fill in the container), etc. 　　
(2)、The inspection for the internal, external and bottom structure of the refrigerated container, and whether there exist in damage. If there be, it will affect the cooling or insulation effect.
(3)、The confirmation of the container type of the refrigerated container. In general, the cold storage temperature requirement of the fresh goods in 0 ℃ or above, it is the high requirement for shipping fresh cargoes’ reefer containers. Therefore, in this case, should be possible to use the refrigerated containers that effect is the better.
3. The operating procedures for refrigeration of refrigerated containers.
(1)、The Installation for Temperature Records Paper Dial: to pay attention to the corresponding date and time on the dial when setting the temperature records paper dial. The time to record the paper dial is the zero beginning point of the date line (M line). The each grid on paper dial for 6 hours and the record watch hand to keep track the time to start cooling. When installing the record paper dial, be careful to fill the dial with a string or replace the battery. 　　
(2)、The Setting for Temperature: when setting the temperature, be careful to set the temperature whether as Celsius or Fahrenheit. If an error was set, when after the refrigeration for the refrigerated container, the temperature shown on the dial of the refrigerated container should be wrong. 　　
(3)、 The Setting for Defrosting Cycle: when setting the defrosting cycle, first to press the CODE - SELECT key, using SELECT key to find the function key’s CODE 27, and then to press the ENTER key, and SELECT keys are used to determine the defrosting time required. The interval time of general defrosting can be set in any one of five grades, namely 3h、6h、9h、12h and 24h. But there are individual reefer containers without setting the defrosting before the refrigerating, which this type of refrigerated container have the function of automatic defrosting when leaving factory. When needing to eliminate the frost shown on the evaporator surface, it will automatically defrost. 　　
(4)、The Turning on the Refrigeration Switch: should switch the switch on “OFF” before plugging in, and can avoid personal accident and the damage of the refrigeration machine. Since the switch is not in the power failure position, if the power was plugged in, the refrigeration machine will have an electric current passing through it, causing an arc at the plug to make a short circuit. It also causes the machine to be damaged due to refrigeration machine stopping work or current interruption. When all preparations are completed, the switch can be switch on “ON” starting to refrigerate.
4. The identification of working status of refrigerated containers.
Through the above steps, the refrigeration operation of the refrigerated containers is basically completed. But, we need to keep track of the state of work for refrigerated containers, therefore, there was set a series of indicator light used to prompt working status when making the refrigerated containers. 　　
(1)、Orange or Amber light: there indicating the refrigerated containers in suitable temperature, namely the difference between the actual temperature and set temperature in the container among the normal range of plus or minus 2.8 ℃. 　　
(2)、Green light: there indicating the chiller is in operation. 　　
(3)、Red light: there denoting the refrigerated containers on defrosting.
5. There are often some malfunctions during the refrigeration process of refrigerated containers caused for many reasons. The most common faults and determination methods are as follows:
(1)、To turn on the power switch, if the refrigeration system does not work, please first check whether the power switch is on the voltage you choose, whether the power socket is plugged in and whether the fuse is damaged; 　
(2)、To turn on the power switch and the system of refrigeration machine is on working, but it is not refrigerated. In this case there is usually no refrigerant; 　
(3)、After the machine is turned on, the refrigeration machine will automatically shut down for a few minutes, and then automatically turn on after a few minutes. In this case, there is mostly a lack of refrigerant. If the air bubble is visible through the refrigerant display mirror after turning on for 20 minutes, namely it belongs to a lack of refrigerant. When it is a situation of appearing the automatic stop in summer, if it be not lack of refrigerant, so then, there is too much dust in the condenser or because refrigerant is too much to cause. 　　
(4)、When the refrigeration machine is working, the computer can not store the actual temperature, which the temperature sensor or computer system of the refrigeration machine is broken. 　　
(5)、The refrigerated container each system works normally and the same normal is the refrigeration condition, but the temperature fluctuation range reflected in the Temperature Record Paper Dial is too large. The reason may be: the vent is not closed, the refrigerated container door is not tight, or the refrigerated container is partially damaged, causing the air leakage in the container. 　　
(6)、In general, the defrosting cycle of the refrigerated container is set before refrigeration, and the defrosting regularity is very strong in the process of refrigeration. If the defrosting time is continuously too long during defrosting, it indicates that the defrosting control switch is broken. If the defrosting terminates during the refrigeration machine working, it indicates that the heater is broken.
(7)、When the reefer container is running, if it is found that the setting temperature is the same with the actual temperature measured manually in the container, and it is too much different for the temperature that shown in the Temperature Records Dial of the refrigerated container with the former, this shows that the temperature sensor probe is broken.
6. The reefer container’s category is divided into 20RF and 40RH.

Operating Procedures:
1. When after receiving the Booking Order (B/O) and then examine it.
To look through carefully that if there is any special requirement on the Booking Order.
For example:
① Free demurrage and detention at the destination port.
② Special display of the port.
③According to the request of the Letter of Credit (L/C), the special contents are required on the Bill of Lading (B/L). If there is any special requirement, it is necessary to confirm with the carrier before booking spaces and then to book spaces according to the requirement of the customers.
2. The Booking Space.
① Before the booking spaces, please confirm the way of final B/L with the customers.
② No matter the request of SWB or Telex Release Bill, and no matter directly leaving cargoes while sailing or leaving cargoes after waiting for notice, you must be in advance to confirm seriously whether SWB/Telex Release Bill needs the Letter of Guarantee (L/G), if it is necessary, whether it needed copy one or the L/G of the Original B/L. If the L/G of the Original B/L needed, please you acquire the Original Shipper Stamp Paper in advance, so as to avoid arrange a post while leaving B/L at same time, so that B/L will be delayed, and even it is caused unnecessary loss because of delaying the delivery of cargoes.
③ Before the booking spaces, please first confirm with the customers whether to need to apply for the days of Stockpiling and Free Detention of the destination port, which will confirm seriously with the carriers whether can meet the requirements of the customers. If not, please shall inform immediately the sellers and the customers to confirm whether we will continue to arrange the booking spaces of these carriers. If the application is approved, there need to show the days of Free Detention and Free Stockpiling of the destination port on B/L. The special carriers will not be displayed, also shall acquire a mail that have confirmed the application approved with the carriers or forwarders.
④ When after acquiring B/L, please must be inform the customers at first time that this booking has been released and the informed content including the Destination Port、Temperature and Ventilation、Name of Vessel Voyage and Bill of Lading No., So as to the customers can be clearly known which cargo this is when you offer the container numbers for customers.
3. The Vehicles Dispatching
①After booking spaces and acquiring the sail schedule, please firstly contact with the vehicle company to order the vehicles. If it takes a long holiday, you need to apply for a certain amount of vehicles in advance according to your weekly shipments condition.
②Before arranging a vehicles dispatching for the place of origin, shall confirm the time of loading in advance, and compute the safest time of loading for loading according to the days of Free Detention and the place of origin’s far-and-near, if the customers require the loading behind, shall inform the customers that the loading behind will be caused related consequences and costs.
4. The Customs Clearance
Now no matter Tianjin and Qingdao are implementing paperless declaration. What is beneficial to us is that we can also submit customs declaration during non-working hours if the time is urgent. If the cargoes are inspected by the customs, it is necessary to inform the customers at the first time, and verify whether the cargoes are in accordance with the customs declaration, and whether the weight and quantity are correct. No matter it is manual inspection and machine inspection, should inform the vehicles company to send a set of new documents of the gathering in port. The details are as follows: the Equipment List in Port Gathering, the L/G of Port Gathering, and the L/G of Refrigerated Container (if it is the manual inspection, also needs to provide a new lead-seal).
